Envisage Spaces Group (ESG) is looking to expand its standalone graphics business following the installation of a Solent Texsew Conveyorline automated sewing and finishing system from Soyang Europe.
ESG has been using the new system to produce SEG graphics, reporting an improvement in speed and accuracy.
The exhibition stands and live events specialist took delivery of the new system in May, with the investment aimed at improving both production efficiency and output quality for graphics applications.
Operating across the UK, US, UAE and Spain, ESG has been designing, manufacturing, installing and storing exhibition stands for more than 40 years. In addition to exhibitions and live events, the company also delivers retail projects ranging from window displays to complete shop fitouts.
With installations taking place around the world, ESG says accuracy is critical to ensure graphics and displays fit correctly first time. The company regularly reviews its production equipment as part of an ongoing programme of investment, with the Solent Texsew Conveyorline representing its latest addition.
“We installed the machine to improve both quality and production time,” said Luke Culpin, graphics manager at ESG. “The Solent device gives us further confidence to ensure that we get it right first time, every time, for our customers around the world.”
The Solent Texsew Conveyorline is designed for sewing and finishing soft signage, exhibition graphics, banners and other textile applications. Features include a Durkopp Adler 827 sewing head capable of up to 3,800 stitches per minute, a 3m synchronised conveyor, automatic silicone edge graphics (SEG) feeding, cutting and insertion, material edge detection and automatic thread trimming.
Since installation, ESG has primarily used the system to produce SEG graphics, reporting significant improvements in both production speed and accuracy. The company also expects the investment to support growth in graphics production for customers beyond its own exhibition and retail projects.
“Over the coming months, we expect to bring in additional clients purely for graphics work, expanding a part of the business that has traditionally focused on producing graphics for our own projects,” said Mr Culpin.
“The machine has proved to be a fantastic asset when we are under time pressure; we now know we can turn graphics around in record time with no issues at all.”
Mr Culpin also praised Soyang for its support throughout the purchasing process.
“Both Soyang and Solent were fantastic in offering an on-site demonstration, alongside plenty of information around the machine,” he said. “It was a top-notch service, and I’d highly recommend them to anybody.
