Nutec Digital Ink has announced the launch of Ruby R10-DTF, a UV-curable Direct-to-Film (DTF) ink designed for short-run decal production.
The new ink solution has been developed for use with LED-UV printers and is intended to support faster production of customised decals. According to the company, the product enables smooth transfer and release performance without the need for weeding, a process commonly associated with traditional vinyl applications. The removal of this step may help print providers reduce production time and labour requirements.
Ruby R10-DTF is designed for use on DTF A films and is compatible with a range of substrates, including glass, metal, wood, plastic and ceramic. The company said the ink offers high-opacity white output and colour coverage suited to dark, tinted and metallic surfaces.
Nutec stated that the formulation was developed to support stable jetting and fast curing performance across DTF, PET and paper-based A-films, with the aim of maintaining consistent print quality in production environments. Potential applications include branded merchandise, promotional items, personalised products and decorative graphics.
Commenting on the launch, Darren Claassens, head of sales and marketing at Nutec Digital Ink, said the inkset had been developed to help customers streamline production processes and meet demand for customised decal printing with shorter turnaround times.
“We are excited to announce our new Ruby R10-DTF inkset which has been developed to help our customers simplify production and respond more efficiently to the growing demand for fast-turnaround customised decal printing,” he said.
