Resolute Ink has invested in a new manufacturing laboratory at its UK headquarters as it brings production of its Resolute Premium DTF ink range in-house.
The company, a subsidiary of Resolute DTG Ltd, said the move is designed to meet growing demand for its updated white ink and forthcoming full CMYKRGBO set, while giving it greater control over quality and supply.
Colin Marsh, CEO of Resolute DTG and a veteran in inkjet technology, said: “There comes a time when you have to break away from available supply routes and invest in a new product’s future. The demand for Resolute Premium DTF ink is growing at a remarkable rate. With the introduction of our new improved white ink, the decision was made to bring the full manufacture in-house, right here at Resolute HQ in the UK.”
The new Resolute Premium White Ink was developed following customer feedback and field testing in the final quarter of 2025. According to the company, the revised formulation uses higher-quality components to achieve low sediment properties without compromising opacity. It is described as offering a brighter, denser white with improved coverage and stretch compared with the original version.
Resolute said the ink has been designed to work with its Ultra DTF process, enabling more white ink to be jetted without bleed or pooling. The lower-sediment formulation is also intended to reduce wear on printheads, with the company stating it can extend printhead life by up to 30% and cut daily head cleans by 50%, reducing waste ink and downtime.
“Because Resolute’s new formulation is low sediment, it’s easier to manage in any printer, small or large,” added Mr Marsh.
The new lab is housed next door to our R&D centre, where the initial development of the low sediment testing started.
“The DTF process is ploughing through the textile decoration industry at a remarkable pace. Predicting demands and market trends is my main role at Resolute, and the key to its continued success. The final decision and license deal was made at a breakfast meeting during the Printing United Show 2025 in Orlando. When a project like this comes to fruition, it makes all the hard work and investment worth it,” he concluded.
The new facility has capacity to manufacture up to two tonnes of white ink per week. Resolute said up to 90% of the manufacturing process and components are sourced in the UK. A second core product is scheduled to move into UK manufacture in the third quarter of 2026.
