Brother has announced the launch of its new GTX300 garment printer, a hybrid system that combines direct-to-garment (DTG) and direct-to-film (DTF) printing in a single machine.

The GTX300 will launch across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at the beginning of September and is aimed at businesses looking to expand their garment decoration capabilities while maintaining production flexibility.
Brother said the machine has been developed in response to growing demand for personalised apparel, shorter production runs and faster turnaround times. By offering both DTG and DTF printing in one system, users can choose the most suitable production method for each application, printing directly onto cotton garments or producing DTF transfers for polyester, blended fabrics and other materials.
The company said this approach enables businesses to broaden the range of jobs they can undertake, reduce production limitations and pursue new revenue opportunities.
The GTX300 is targeted at a wide range of users, including apparel decorators, custom print providers, start-ups, promotional product suppliers, screen printers, e-commerce and print-on-demand businesses, fashion brands and retailers offering in-store personalisation. Brother said the ability to produce DTF transfers in advance alongside high-quality DTG prints provides greater flexibility when managing production schedules and meeting tight delivery deadlines.
The printer incorporates Brother’s latest industrial printheads and offers high-speed, high-resolution output within a compact footprint. Other features include a 7in touchscreen interface, integrated print software, automated maintenance functions and a white enhanced mode that detects pure white areas to optimise white ink coverage.
Brother said the GTX300 is designed to simplify professional garment printing while providing the reliability required for commercial production environments.
The company added that the system is supported by training resources and technical assistance, alongside its existing industrial printing expertise. According to Brother, the GTX300 builds on its established garment printing technology with the aim of making professional-quality DTG and DTF printing more accessible to businesses of varying sizes.
