Soyang Europe, manufacturer and distributor of digitally printable wide-format and superwide-format media and supplier of format print production hardware options, has announced its acquisition of the stock and intellectual property of textiles supplier Brook International.

Established in 1898, Brook International, which started out specialising in flag fabrics, has transitioned into digitally printed polyester fabrics for flag and display applications in recent years.

The agreement between the companies will see Brook International’s products integrated into the Soyang Europe portfolio, and distributed from the company’s facility in Altham, Lancashire.

Soyang Europe believes this acquisition will allow its customers to choose from a wider range of high-quality textile materials. Brook International customers will continue to experience the same service but will also have access to products from Soyang Europe’s range with next-day delivery across the UK.

Mark Mashiter, managing director of Soyang Europe, commented, ‘We believe that this agreement will benefit both our own customers and those previously working with Brook International. Soyang Europe customers will get access to an expanded range of textile products, while existing Brook International clients will benefit from our wider-reaching offering.’

To further assist existing Brook International customers during the transition, Soyang Europe will take on Brook International’s supply chain. In addition, Soyang Europe will welcome Chris Drury, formerly a director at Brook International, to its team as sales manager. In his new role, Mr Drury will work with both existing Brook International clients and Soyang Europe customers to support them by identifying the most effective textile options for their businesses.
