UFabrik has named Sesoma as its new distributor in Finland, strengthening its European network and expanding its presence in a market where soft signage and polyester-based print applications are already established.

Based in Vantaa, close to Helsinki Airport, Sesoma has supplied production equipment and materials to the Finnish signage, digital printing and vehicle wrapping sectors for more than 40 years. The partnership follows UFabrik’s existing relationship with Sesoma’s sister companies in the Baltics.

The appointment gives Sesoma Finland its own polyester textile offering for the first time, allowing it to support customers with a more complete solution.

“Although direct and transfer printing on polyester are both widely used by Sesoma customers, polyester fabrics had not previously formed part of our own range,” said Sami Lempinen, Sesoma Finland’s MD. “By bringing in the full UFabrik portfolio, we can now supply materials that customers would have sourced from elsewhere. It also creates new opportunities for us to increase our sales, for example, when we sell a dye sublimation printer, a direct-to-fabric printer, or an Expolinc Light Frame, we can now also offer UFabrik textiles.”

Monika Mourao, UFabrik’s European sales director, added, “Sesoma has an established position in the market with strong customer reach and the right infrastructure to fully support the UFabrik portfolio. It’s exactly the kind of partnership we want to build as we continue to grow our European market share.”

UFabrik textiles are new to the Finnish market, but the company said feedback from the wider group has highlighted consistent quality, competitive pricing and good colour reproduction.

“Soft signage has been of interest to our customers for a long time. We sold the first large format printer equipped with sublimation inks in 2002, and since then has been steadily replacing traditional materials used in retail, events and exhibitions,” said Mr Lempinen.

Sesoma will support the range through its warehouse, logistics team, online stock visibility, customer visits, samples and demo events. The company said the partnership also supports its aim to expand its range of PVC-free solutions.
