Mimaki is set to launch the TS200-1600 dye sublimation printer at The Sign Show. The machine, distributed in the UK and Ireland by Hybrid Services, is aimed at small businesses, start-ups and companies moving into customised goods and short-run textile production.
Building on Mimaki’s 200 platform and powered by the same core technology used in its 330 Series, the TS200-1600 is designed to balance speed, colour accuracy, and affordability. It features an extended eight-colour ink set with orange and violet for a wider gamut, and fluorescent pink and yellow for applications such as sportswear, promotional products, décor, and soft signage.
The printer uses Mimaki’s Oeko-Tex Eco-Passport certified Sb411 inks, offering high-density, durable output that meets sustainability requirements set by global textile brands. It also incorporates two-litre degassed ink packs to reduce waste and improve reliability, while RasterLink7 RIP software and the PICT cloud-based monitoring tool are included to support efficient workflow management.
Arjen Evertse, director sales at Mimaki Europe, said: “It brings professional-level quality and colour brilliance to customers entering the dye sublimation market, while offering a user-friendly, cost-efficient solution for short runs, proofing, and personalised applications.”
Andy Gregory, sales director at Hybrid, added: “Launching the new Mimaki TS200-1600 at The Sign Show gives visitors the opportunity to see first-hand how dye sublimation could open new revenue streams for their business.”
With a compact footprint and compatibility with polyester fabrics and coated substrates, the TS200-1600 is positioned as an accessible option for businesses looking to expand into personalised products and on-demand textiles, said the company.
