Zünd has introduced a Pinking Tool for use with its large format cutting tables, enabling the rapid and consistent cutting of zigzag edges for fabric, paper and leather samples and other applications.
The new Pinking Tool uses a saw/scalloped edge blade to process a wide range of materials at up to 1m/sec, which is significantly quicker than using a single blade to achieve the same result, and is said to be clean and efficient cutting process. The resulting zigzag cuts are a recognised way of finishing fabric edges in an aesthetically pleasing way that reduces fraying in use or with repeated handling.
The tool is compatible with Zünd’s G3 and D3 series of cutting tables; a special polyurethane cutting underlay is required to protect the belt. Both are available immediately.
