Kornit Digital announced the commercial availability of its Atlas Matrix platform following the completion of a global beta program conducted across production environments in Europe and North America.

Atlas Matrix builds on Kornit’s Atlas Max Plus platform by extending production capabilities to polyester, blended, and sublimated fabrics.

According to the company, the platform is designed to enable production across multiple fabric types using a single system while maintaining industrial-scale output and retail-grade quality. Atlas Matrix incorporates Kornit’s proprietary Karbon Shield process, which is intended to address dye migration issues commonly associated with direct digital printing on polyester and sublimated garments.

The system enables producers to transition between cotton, polyester, and blended fabrics within the same workflow, which Kornit says can help streamline operations and broaden production applications.

Kornit stated that the platform has undergone validation through production testing with customers in Europe and North America. Early participants in the beta program reported improvements in print quality, fabric feel, and operational efficiency, according to the company.

“The apparel industry is rapidly shifting toward agile, on-demand production models that require far greater flexibility, efficiency and responsiveness,” said Ronen Samuel, chief executive officer of Kornit Digital. He said the platform is intended to help customers expand production capabilities and support digital manufacturing at scale.

Companies participating in the program included providers in print-on-demand, customised apparel, and large-scale fulfillment.

Among the early users, Spread Group reported beginning to transition portions of polyester production to Atlas Matrix. Frederik Huhn, the company’s director of global fulfilment, said the system had enabled direct printing on dye-sublimated garments in a single step.

US Colorworks also participated in the program. Rodney McDonald, president of the company, said the platform broadened production capabilities while simplifying workflows.

Kornit said the launch of Atlas Matrix supports broader shifts toward localised, on-demand manufacturing and inventory-efficient production models across a wider range of apparel applications.
