Workflow software company Gelato has officially launched GelatoConnect for Apparel, extending its print production platform to support the garment market. Designed to meet the growing demand for personalised garments and on-demand fulfilment, the enhanced platform now supports a full range of garment decoration methods including direct-to-garment (DTG), direct-to-film (DTF), embroidery, and hybrid processes.

Following a period of early access with select customers, GelatoConnect for Apparel is now widely available. The platform enables apparel decorators to automate procurement, production and logistics through a single system, reducing manual errors, improving efficiency, and lowering costs. It is also fully integrated with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, Etsy, and WooCommerce to help users manage orders and grow their business.

“GelatoConnect is constantly looking for new carriers and negotiating better rates. That frees us up to focus on what we do best, which is running a print shop,” said Gus Koniaris, founder of T-Shirt Gang, one of the early adopters.

Charlie Saunders, CEO of TidyMerch, also reported significant benefits. “I discovered I was 10x overstock on some items and running out of stock on others. Now, GelatoConnect does the work and I just focus on growth. It enabled 2X growth in 2024 without adding any costs.”

Key features of the platform include AI-driven procurement, which the company claims can reduce material overhead by over 40%; production automation that cuts error rates to below 0.35%; and smart logistics capable of reducing shipping costs by up to 40% while maintaining 98% on-time delivery rates.

The company describes the platform as purpose-built for ecommerce-driven environments with high product variation and fast turnaround needs, positioning it as an alternative to traditional or patched-together systems.
